  • Wearing a life jacket/buoyancy aid is a great idea. In some places local by laws enforce this. We at NZTYA reckon it’s a no brainer. If you’re racing or just cruising, in a runabout, dingy or an 8 metre racing trailer yacht, it just makes sense. Accidents happen. You wouldn’t try to navigate down a river without a motor, would you?
